Lent

Pancake Day came followed by Ash Wednesday and I think to stop drinking or at least cut down but of course someone calls around and brings a bottle and Lent lasts just one day.

I'm concerned about 'the problem'. In my experience some people can't stand it if the 'problem solving approach' is defined as 'you MUST stop doing it'. What about this one: Just forget about the whole thing...

thanks borut - your thoughts got me thinking too - 'just forget about the whole thing' - yes if we could really forget then this would open the doors perhaps for those that say 'forgive and forget' and make the world a better place but i'm sure then that there would be some who would take the option to 'just forget' - forget the forgiveness too and perpetrators of bad things would 'just forget' everything

the whole notion of 'problem solving' first needs the identification of a 'problem' and of course there are obsticles to overcome but maybe when we start actively looking for problems to solve that in itself becomes a problem and yes sometimes we need to see past a problem walk right over it and get on with things

a found baby
thinking what to do with it

'Forget about thinking', I woman I loved used to say to me. I supposed I couldn't. It's now all over...

Seriously: I really start to believe that this is basic. A problem should be tackled both ways. Remembering that it is a problem. And actively forgetting it in so far as an active problem. For example. A drinking seance in a bar. The discussion is so heated that we forget about drinking...
