‘SE T VP’ Involuntary Painting Birmingham UK

Involuntary painting found during artist Cathy Wade’s Paradise Remix walk through Birmingham city centre.

The walk started inside Vivid Projects. It explores “how the voice/body can articulate itself within digital/physical space. The route chosen considers how urban sites are navigated, their affect on day to day lived experience and the potential they hold for radical transformation.”

Part of #shaunryderbeermatshow a piece conceived, curated and executed by artists Cathy Wade and Kevin Ryan. 'Pickled' featured in the Birmingham Pavilion of the North Bienale in Warrington 2015 commissioned by Ikon which was curated by Wade and Ryan with their #shaunryderbeermatshow. The beermat now has a life of its own given to it by Wade and Ryan and the many works made by many artists featuring it or out of it.

A tour de force of detournement.
